A fellow camper once said to me:
“camping is not for the faint of heart”
That’s a tad bit dramatic for me, yet
there is a tad of truth in the statement.
Today the rain was coming down pretty
hard, and I had to high step it over the
massive puddles to get up to the restroom.
On the way back to camp the lightning crackled
open right in front of me. I was carrying an
open umbrella!! A literal lightning rod. I jog
sprinted back to the camper.
TOH to date: 948 hours and 20 minutes.
P.S. Mr. Fisherman- a real hunter gatherer,
went fishing at dawn, in the thunderstorm,
to catch our dinner. He was successful, and
a tad soaked.
