I might end up reading picture books with
just a few words. When I said yes to this- read
75 books this year-in my head. I made
no restrictions of what kind of books. Even so,
I am only up to 30 books, with less than half a
year left.
I have enjoyed several graphic novels.
The thing is that I don’t want to rush through
the experience of reading the seventy-five books.
When I home-schooled, some of my kids rushed
through subjects, just to finish. This peeved me- and
I wondered what they were missing in their rush
to just finish
I’m still picking too long of books. The one I am currently
reading is over 500 pages.
The other day at the library, the librarian asked me
if I found what I was looking for? I mentioned that
I was trying to read a lot of books and I was thinking of including
more children’s books. Oh there are a lot of good kid’s books, she said.
I mumbled out, I’m hoping for more pictures, and shuffled into
the children’s stacks.
