I am a bit skittish when it comes to putting
garden plants in. On May 4th, 2003, after finishing
planting the upper garden, a Cat 4 tornado
roared through and leveled all the plants. It was
a pathetic sight. So, ever since, I wait it out. Because the
weather here is so iffy- freezing, hail, heat, too much rain-
take your pick. Yesterday, while I was picking plants at
the local outdoor store, it was raining. All of the plants
looked unstable in some way. Over watered, over-sunned,
under watered, under-sunned. Not too good at all. I took
a risk with these few. Today one of my grown girls
shared some lettuce, chocolate mint, and an unidentifiable
native flower, that one of her neighbors gave her.
It doesn’t really matter to me what I plant. I like it all.

This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.
