The nishiki willows, that I put directly into the soil,
have some growth- a bit of a sprout. Hopefully, they
will hold up, and grow up. I’m pretty encouraged by
this little bit. Green growth is one of the things I love
about the spring- summer. Green, in all shades, is
everywhere. Everything is reaching higher, swaying
more, and perking up with a drink of water.
I am going to have to get a handle, or better yet, wire,
on my blackberry bushes. They are sprouting up quickly,
and I need to coral them, so they grow right. This is where
it gets tricky for me. I like wild garden very much. But, wild
can get out of hand lickety- split. And that’s just the garden truth.
