Pulled out most of the cucumber and melon vines.
They are prickly little suckers. Not rosebush thorns,
but sharp enough. I’m babying my basil. Hoping to get
another batch of pesto out of it. Fall feels like it is just
around the corner, and it takes me no time at all to lose
interest in the outdoor garden. I am going to try beets and
see it I can get a fall batch. I am a bit reluctant to dig up the
sweet potatoes. I have no idea if they are still alive.
