My Hollyhocks are blooming.
This is thrilling to me. This is
our gate to nowhere, now Garden
Gate. Mr. Fix-it and I interrupted
this garden. We raised it up so all the flowers
had to be picked up and out, then back in again.
To say this made me a tad nuts is an understatement.
But, I remembered flowers, just like us are made to
grow, to bloom, to do what they are supposed to do.
And I did relax. I went to bed that night and let it be.
And everything, including the morning glory vine is
readjusting to the garden.
Total outside hours to date: 414
P.S. It’s hot. But I for sure do not think
it is necessary to hear the excessive heat warnings
or read of them. It’s hot. It is summer.
p.s.s. My hollyhock is happy and so are
the birds. I hear them on our morning
bike ride.
p.s.s. a hummingbird was
looking in my window yesterday
