Switchback…

My summer laundry stinks!

Pre-soaking it, hot water, none

of it was working. My tennis

and biking clothes were the worst.

But, even the towels were starting to reek.

I had made the switch in winter to natural

laundry detergent. But the sweat of summer

has taken it’s toll on all my laundry. I have experienced

various laundry faux pas through the years.

Once I was running a road race on a hot

summer day. My legs were sudsing up. Later I

discovered you were only to use laundry powder,

not the liquid. It is hard to find the powder detergent.

I am not too serious about my laundry, unless it starts not feeling clean

or stinks.

I have had this laundry conversation with maybe a dozen

people. I know what laundry soap people are using .I know about wool balls

for the dryer. I know about home made laundry soap. A gal from my

book club knew why the natural stuff didn’t work- she used many big

words and it did make sense.

But really- I just want clean laundry. The intense heat of summer

forced me to switch back to my mother’s laundry soap.

Total Outside hours to date: 469 hours

P.S. One of my tennis friends told me marigolds are

invasive. She’s right about that my garden is over taken

with them.
