I’ve never played Bridge. But, when I first started playing tennis,
I overheard many ladies talking about going to play bridge,
after the tennis match was over.. “I’m going to play Bridge now.”
They said this, while reapplying their lipstick. Yes, lipstick.
My parents generation played Bridge. Neighborhood Bridge games were a
common thing. I am a Rummy or Pictionary girl. We played all sorts of board
games growing up: Sorry, Trouble, Scrabble, Monopoly, Life, Candy Land…
Of course, we played them with our kids too. Now, we play Connect 4,
Concentration, Uno, and a form of Pictionary, with our grand kids. We play
a Monopoly card game ,when our youngest daughter visits from out of town.
It’s much funner than Monopoly – just like Banana Grams, is funner than
Scrabble.
