One of my favorite things about people is their oddities.
People fascinate me. You might think you know someone
then all of a sudden you realize they play the ukulele.
Or they read books in French or German or some other language.
Sometimes they draw or bake or make pour over coffee-
people that you might expect to use a drip coffee maker
go on and on about French Press or whole bean coffee.
Maybe they order candy from china or the middle east
or macrame or smoke a pipe. Finding little details or
unique things people like or do makes me stop and consider
them different. Big burly men who binge watch cooking shows
to learn how to make a special sauce or get an idea for dinner?!
All of my children were/are uniquely creative.
I loved watching each one of them unfold before me.
Sometimes when I am finding myself a bit off kilter I
imagine the Father God enjoying us-me.
Psalm 139 speaks of us as God’s unique creation
in verse 14 it says ” I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
He’s speaking of us.
His creation.
He likes us.
How can anyone not like you?
