Last year when we camped in Leadville, Colorado
we drove up secluded mountains. Many people camped
alongside the road. No campground at all.
Boon docking, Dispersed camping, or whatever you
want to call it. It usually means water-less, toilet-less, shower-less
camping. Camping itself is not for the faint of heart, but camping with
less is just that, camping with less. We just returned from a week of
camping at Roaring River State Park. Complete with showers, flush toilets,
electricity and laundry facilities. It got down into the 30’s two nights. We
were cozy enough. Mr. Fix-it has rigged up our pop up with 2 small heaters.
We took several day trips, hikes, bike rides, shopping and eating out some.
Mr. Fix-it catches dinner for us in the early mornings.
