I find daffodils insanely optimistic.
They bloom before spring official.
They survive hailstorms. They give it
the good old flower try year after year.
They sit quietly in the ground all winter.
Pop their heads at the first inkling of warmth.
Daffodils live in the dirt by roadsides ,often alongside
discarded plastic bags, tiny liquor bottles, ketchup packets,
crumpled bags- all sorts of trash -and they bloom anyways.
Love this!
