Some summers ago, I wore a pair of checkered shorts.
A friend of mine was ridding her closet of clothes and said,
” I thought of you when I saw these” She handed me a
pair of shorts. I loved them. I thought I was boss. Later,
when showing the pictures from our vacation, where I was
photographed in those checkered shorts. One of my grown
girls said, “Where did you get those ridiculous shorts?”
My “Boss” thoughts were cut short.
