I made a deal with myself at the end of last summer.
I decided not to pull up anything that sprouted green in the
spring, even if it did look like a weed. Because, I don’t know
a weed start from a flower start. We have lived in our
house over 20 years. The people before us, much
longer and they planted bulbs in a lot of places.
I am for certain I have weeded these little beauties out
year after year. They are called Star of Bethlehem. I have them
sprouting in the side yard, front yard, and close up to the house
in back! One of my grown girls yesterday pointed to greenery
that is all bushy, and asked- “What is that?”
“I don’t know, I am going to see if it turns in to anything.”
And who knows, it may be the Aster flowering thing, I found at
the end of last summer and planted. I do enjoy the surprises
of nature. I especially am awed by their faithfulness to do their
job and bloom at the right time every year.
Bless the Lord and His Works.
