One of my grown girls was on the phone with her sister.
“I need to go, I just got to the park, there’s another mom
here and she looks like she wants to talk.”
After all, isn’t that why we go to parks? To be
out among others, to talk with people- adult people-
if we have young children. I get it, loneliness. Especially
with mothers of young children adult conversation is so
needed. But, loneliness or lonesomeness is everywhere.
Perfect strangers speak to me. I listen intently, hoping they
feel the connection of another.
We need to get back to each other-don’t we.
