After all the short ones left
I looked high and low
under beds in drawers,
craft cabinets for a set of
black pens I bought. I asked
the keepers of the short ones
to ask if they had seen these pens.
Did they remember them? I
mentioned the missing pens
in phone calls for a week.Two days
ago I asked Mr. Fix-it, have you seen
a package of pens? He wheeled his
office chair back and whipped
open the top left drawer on his
credenza and said-Do you mean these?
He is a man of order and saw pens in a
place that he did not think they belonged and
he put them in his pen drawer!
