The geese came.
One took up in our tree
the other honked around the yard
and floated in a back neighbors pond.
One morning three
geese honked and carried on and
eventually landed on the roof. 
I did wonder about the goose in the tree.
I thought she was nesting. I started seeing
downy feathers under the tree. Sure enough
we spotted 2 baby geese and two adult geese
heading for the big pond. It had to be quite an
event to get the babies over to it. We did not
get to see it.
I did miss them when they were gone.
