Today I watched as two of our grand children
sat on the kitchen countertop and planted
seeds- spinach, rosemary, cucumber and
chard. They made a heck of a mess. Dirt was
everywhere. They dug around in the dirt after
planting the seeds. The seeds might come up
and they might not. But it doesn’t matter.
This is my grown girl whose children wear
mismatched socks, inside out clothes, and shoes
on the wrong feet. If it’s cold outside they always
have a hat and mittens, mismatched also. They
are smart and beautiful and love the outdoors and
adventures. And she, the grown girl, will tend her
girl garden and make sure they come up right.
Mismatched clothes or not.
