Do you hear the hush? I do. It’s deafening. It’s so loud. It’s called loneliness or aloneness, isolation.
It’s quiet but it roars like a mighty river under us all. We all feel it.
Some are handling it better than others, some of us not at all.
Some have used books, movies, videos, crafts, hiking, outdoor activities.
Some are building on new additions, or painting out buildings,
doing deep cleans or have started a weight loss program.
Others have upped their Xanax dose or found smoking
added an extra wine cooler or beer to the end or middle of their day.
It’s a loud quiet. It won’t go away, it roars at us every morning,
and reminds us that it’s still here, waiting to hush our day.
Even so, the leaves are louder,
the wind is stronger, the sky is bluer, darker, or cloudier.
The stars more evident.
The hush has done that to us.
It is a force that will not be ignored.
Hush speaks firmly.
It’s in charge, and hiding won’t help.
It finds you.
I found my friend online! Thankful and enjoying the musings. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Good times
