Have you ever sat in a waiting room reading
a magazine article and your name is called?
-Wait! Can I finish this story, this tidbit, this little piece?
I’m in the middle – Something in the words have enticed
you, and you want to finish. I admit, I have, on occasion,
torn pages out of a magazine or newspaper at a doctors,
or dentist, or car repair shop. Folded them up and put them
in my purse or coat pocket. Yes. I am that person!!
Why?
-I loved the words and I didn’t want them to end
-The magazines were from the 80’or 90’s
– I felt I could
– I asked first
I would in no way say this is a confession of any sort.
But, I confess to not wanting a story to end, or an article to quit.
I like the information, or need the information.
Last week I ventured to start reading War and Peace.
Mr. Fix-it said, “I was sorry when that book ended.
I felt like I was losing my friends.”
Words bear life–don’t they…
