Left Behind

I walked past a chalk 4 square court mid- afternoon. It was at

the newly vacated campsite that had 4 children’s bikes,

(one trike) and 2 adult bikes. The campsite is on one of the

loops of my walk around. This morning on my loop around,

I observed one of the boys. He looked to be about 8. He was poking at

the early morning fire with a stick. The other kids were loudly

urging him to stop from their kid sized camp chairs. “Leave it

alone!” they yelled in unison. I thought back to when we camped

with our 6. The fire was enchanting. We ended up with several

scorched Strawberry Shortcake sleeping bags and melted tennis shoe soles.

I snapped this picture on my way back from the loop at the end of the day.

I like plants and tennis and book club and classical music and small bowls of ice cream.

I love Jesus, Mr. Fix-it, family and life!

I don’t like driving in the rain or sleeping in.
