without the challenge -my
outside hours dwindled
the early snowfall took me
by surprise- just so unready
I did manage to high step
it through the back woods 
in my coveralls
I started wearing them last year
after I saw an older man walking
in the neighborhood with his on
-the moon looked me right in the
eye the other morning and I thought
gee willikers
