Native Plants…

IMG_2307

I picked up a coloring book with the Missouri

native plants in it today. I met one of my grown

girls at the nature library. We walked around a

bit outside. But it was wet, muddy and weedy.

Her youngest repeatedly took off her shoes when

she encountered a puddle. Just sat right down

and kicked her shoes off her little feet.

Her shoes were already soaked from walking

through the wet, weedy grass-but she took them off anyway.

Very orderly of her. I was happy to get the plant coloring

book because it also identifies the plants. Many of the plants are

swaying in the wind in my own gardens- seeded from free seeds

that the library offers.  Now I know what they are. I am so happy

they took root at my house. I love the word native, just love it.

It too, could be swaying in the wind.

Native appreciation always brings insights to the beauty and purpose of what GOD intended. We have much to observe and to learn. Inspired by your granddaughters freedom to relish and play in GOD’S provisions!!
