That is the Catan board game pieces.
Obviously not where they belong.
Mr. Fix-it meticulously set
up the game for the annual
Christmas game event.
The cardboard he had it set up
on folded on his way up the stairs.
He was going to store it under
our bed till game day. Oops!
After picking up all the pieces
he/we realized three cards and
a game piece were still missing.
Disassemble Christmas tree
move all packages from
under the tree
carefully inspect the area around…
I go back to my sewing project
I hear LOUD hammering coming
from the basement. I wonder- is
he mad- mad angry- mad crazy?
He is neither. He has come to the
“logical conclusion” that the cards
and game piece have slid into the stairs.
He is hammering out the boards under
the stairs. He hoists me up into the
cubby hole with a flash-light to see
if I can see the cards.
