Today when I passed my philodendron in the jar of water
I thought of a Bible verse that I know by heart. I hate, absolutely hate,
to let a plant go-if a piece breaks off. I put it in water till it roots
and start another plant. It’s insane in a way I have nine philodendrons-
I don’t need any more. A week or so ago when it was nose freezing cold
I pitched a spider/airplane plant out into the yard as far as I could.
But not before I put one of its shoots into water.
Isaiah 42:3 says, A bruised reed He will not break
and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out. In faithfulness He
will bring forth justice. I feel for every plant I have -they try so
hard to grow. I don’t want to let them go when they struggle-
He feels that way towards His people and He’s God. He’s going to
keep us and replant us if He needs to. He’s the Master Gardner.
