The description of wild blue indigo, reads luscious like.
I took some liberties, and paraphrased a bit.
It’s a bushy, periwinkle-ish blue, blossom that was used
to make dye. Because true indigo was so rare.
It says in the description that it is hard to start, but worth
the wait. I texted the image above to my daughter this
afternoon. She had given me a snack size baggie full of brown
seeds a couple of months ago- when it was not so hot outside.
She had already sown some of the seeds in her garden area.
She gave me what she had left, and said, “Mine’s not coming up.”
These tiny indigos have been up for less then a week.
Hopefully, because they are perennials, and native,
once they get established, they will be strong plants.
The description said they would last for decades.
I like the sound of that.
