Slower than Slow

Many blog posts/articles on the virtue

of slow stitching. It is a curious concept to me.

Years back I had a friend, and between the two of

us we had 8 children under 12. Anyway, I was at her

house. We were visiting and she showed me some quilts

she finished. They were called A Quilt in a Day. My friend had

the instructions laminated. One page -back and front. A few

diagrams included. She said,” you know if I cant finish a project

the same day it’s not going to get finished.”

Slow stitching never entered her mind.

TOH to date: 903 hours and 15 min.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace

there may be in silence.  From Desiderata by Max Ehrmann
