Ever had one of those days where lots of
little things go wrong, or weird?
Yesterday was a weird day for me.
I was off kilter all day. Tripping over
my own feet. I planned to leave the
house by 7 A.M. I had agreed to
sub for someone in tennis, not the
regular people I play with, and
not the regular time. I packed the
tiniest of containers of mixed nuts
I carried two water bottles, wallet, phone,
keys and tiniest container of mixed nuts
down the basement steps. Opened the car
door set my wallet on the seat and was
just about to put the two water bottles in
the car when I managed to tip the tiniest
container of mixed nuts out of my hand.
OOps- I quickly grabbed the broom to sweep
them out the door so the squirrels could eat
them. Mr Fix-it went upstairs to refill my tiniest
of container of nuts. –Nice Guy– I felt a little bit nutty
driving. So I reminded myself several times
don’t get off on 70- stay in this lane. When
I got to tennis one of the ladies had brought
extra large peaches to share- so very ripe, and
a bit sticky. The ants were out in number. While
playing I was distracted by the two sticky peaches in
my bag on the ant filled side lines of the court.
I told myself concentrate on the game not the
peaches. It was so very humid out and I just knew
those two peaches were making a mess. In the car I found
a dry place to lay the peaches they rolled around a lot on the way
home. I told myself concentrate on the road not the peaches.
At lunch time, I cut one of the peaches to share with Mr. Fix-it.
Delicious. Later, I opened a can of peas to have with dinner.
It was after dinner when I spilled the pea juice into the
Tupperware drawer that I realized this weird day is almost over.
I slept great and have not dropped a nut,or rolled a peach or spilled
any pea juice today.
