Stationary Bikes Don’t Get Flats …

IMG_7931

Our bike ride was cut drastically short today.

I did not hear the tire hiss like last time. Instead,

I noticed my slowness getting up the hills. Pedaling,

but felt as if I was going nowhere, slow. After about 4 miles,

I looked down at the back tire and realized it was flat.

I was reluctant to say, I have a flat. But I did it anyway.

Mr. Fix-it had spent a good bit of time yesterday replacing

both of my tires. He even took the bike into the bike shop and

the guy in the shop exchanged the old for the new on the back tire .

Anyways, we re-aired the back tire up, in hopes that I could

pedal it home before it went flat again. I didn’t make it one half

a block. I started walking. Mr. Fix-it went after the jeep, to rescue

me again. We brought it back to the bike shop. They kindly redid it

and fixed another thing on my derailleur.

Things that have not gone quite as expected:

  • Mung beans did not sprout-but they sure did smell bad
  • I did not finish the mailbox
  • My entries were rejected by the magazine
  • Two of my big trees have problems
  • I overcooked the cabbage

Just in case you think I am complaining. I am not,

these are trivial annoyances. But I did figure out how

to use bullet points!  At the end of the day. I’d say the

weather was lovely- I did make headway on the mailbox.

We did get the bike up and going again. And even ordered

me a new trail bike at a most reasonable price. The cabbage

was edible. I’m praying for my trees to live and bud again.

God cares about everything.

I love Jesus, Mr. Fix-it, family and life!

I don’t like driving in the rain or sleeping in.
