I just finished a book and one of the lines gave me pause-
It is bad to be easily frightened.- Isn’t that the truth. About lots of
life. Several of my trees are doing poorly this year.
I put a call into the extension service. We corresponded- I emailed pictures
of leaves, roots, trunks and branches.
The very knowledgeable lady called me and gave me her thoughts on
the trees and sent me some literature. She used the word –Stressed.
The trees are stressed. Later that day my across the street neighbor,
who is quite knowledgeable himself about many things, said to me-
Those trees are stressed. I don’t doubt it. Who, and what, isn’t stressed?
But a tree? Since the beginning of them showing their stress-
I have meandered around them and told them to do their job and leaf out.
Today, I touched them gently and said, It’s bad to be easily frightened- don’t
worry everything is going to be okay ,you can leaf out now
I heard those words and listened carefully-
I went inside and drank three cups of water and played my favorite Dvorak record.
I hope the trees heard the music, and relaxed a bit too.
