Today I had my eyes dilated for the first time.
I asked” Is this going to cause problems?”
“Oh no unless it’s sunny, and look how overcast it is.”
I left the office after my appointment. I shielded my eyes
and only looked at the pavement. I was alarmed. I
had to walk across the parking lot. The sun was crazy bright,
and reflecting off of license plates and windshields.
I thought- I’ll get to the car, maybe I have sunglasses.
The phone was ringing I could not find it to answer it.
When I got to the car my sunglasses were not in it.
I thought- man alive how do people do this and drive?
The phone rang again. I picked up.
“Mrs. Sack! Mrs. Sack! come back in to the office. The sun came
out. I’ll put a pair of disposable sun glasses on the desk.”
