One of my grown girls suggested making
a sort of list of what I do in a day-
Here is a skim of my Monday:
Morning: Woke up early had quiet time, did my morning
writing, worked out, quick run, since it is icy, I had to do
on treadmill. Was supposed to to babysit, so my morning was
held at bay till we decided streets were a tad too icy to make my way.
Ate two small bowls of Special K-usually have plain yogurt and berries,
but I have the milk I really like,
so I put it over cereal.
Managed to change out record player needle with the help
of one of my grown girls after she heard me say unkind things
about the tiny screw driver that didn’t work.
Listened to music loudly to celebrate successful needle change
Cleaned the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms,
vacuumed and mopped floors, cleaned mirrors.
Watered all the plants.
talked on phone
read my book
Ate my lunch of burnt salad with tomatoes, onions, garlic and a bit of cheese with a
few potato chips
read again
….
did my water color painting
babysat briefly -changed babies diaper-
visited with one of my grown girls…
talked on phone
ate chicken salad and crackers for dinner
drove in the semi rainy, foggy, dark
to play 41 at 6PM-it’s a fun tennis game that promotes net play-
changed out my contacts for eye-glasses, so it would be easier to drive in
the dark back home
showered, climbed in bed.
Mr. Fix-it made me a bowl of ice-cream-
even though I said I didn’t want it…
Love that when that happens.
Thanks Mr. Fix-it!!
I love feeding you, especially ice-cream.
I do like my ice cream!
