I’ve got a bit of poison ivy on my wrist.
So I washed my gardening gloves.
I started with three of the same pairs,
but now I’m down to two and a half.
I left the greenish pair on the porch
the night it stormed. The wind must have carried
one of the gloves off. So now I wear one greenish
glove with one man’s brown glove.
Both are left handed and it feels funny on
my right hand. I always wonder how a kid can
wear their shoes on the wrong feet.
Sometimes, the world feels like that to me now.
Like my shoes are on the wrong feet, or
I’m wearing two left handed gloves.
