We have had a doozy of a winter already, haven’t we. I confess I
did not believe we were going to get the storm that we did. I owe one of
my grown girls 5 bucks. I texted- 5 bucks it won’t even snow. The next morning
she texted me early-You owe me 5 bucks. Across the street a tractor snow plow showed
up. The whole block has ridiculously long driveways. His might be the longest. Next door
the snow blower was in use. But not here. Hubby did both drives. Long, long drives.
I don’t
shovel but I did high knee it around the way back woods. Mine were the only prints. Even the deer
and bunnies weren’t having it. I had to lean against a tree two times it was a tremendous
amount of snow and I was wearing one of those coveralls left over from one of our boys. Those things
must weigh three or four pounds. Speaking of pounds I have taken up weights again. I do this on occasion
for months at a time to see if I can tell the difference. I never have -but I persist. It’s cold-way cold
in the basement. Staying in shape in the winter is way more work than the rest of the year. I coax myself
onto the treadmill to run, and the stationary bike to pedal, like a nut. Just a nut.
Hubby has kept himself extra busy.
I can’t even tell you how many times I have seen him like this.
