This has been a year of doing
-sewing, drawing, painting,
reading, writing, cooking.
At the beginning of 2022 I made
declarations of some specific things
I wanted to accomplish.
One was reading 75 books.
I finished that.
Another one, was too lofty- or I should
have started it earlier in the year.
The book reading took me by surprise.
I was chided by several people.
That it wasn’t difficult to read 75 books in a year.
And, in the end, I agree. The reason it seemed
so difficult is because my loftier goal was hanging
over my head and I couldn’t, at least in my mind,
do both at the same time.
Anyways… I’ve joined in on a
drawing/painting/crafting daily,
and sharing via telephone pictures.
This little bit of doing does not hang over my head.
Instead, it is /has been most enjoyable.
One of my grown girls, who is doing the doing
with the rest of us doers, said that she has
started to write three things for which
she is thankful everyday. .
That’s a good bit of doing-
The Bible says in 1st Thessalonians to
-Give thanks always!-
