Batches of these grow in my woods
They so remind me of fairy trees.
In more knowledgeable writings
they are referred to as colonies of
may-apples. They are poisonous. Yikes.
In the last few years I discovered the flower
underneath the umbrellas. I was
delighted. I had no idea they were poisonous
till I looked them up. Of course, there was
much information on them. Since I don’t plan
on ingesting them I will enjoy them the same.
I’m sure I will repeat what I have read about
them on future walks in the woods with others.
I won’t be able to help myself. And, besides, this
is an easy thing to talk about. It’s the more difficult
topics that we avoid isn’t it. No matter how much we
know or read- we often stay away from conversations
that could go poisonous.
