Right now, today, at this time, all my yesterdays
are in a filing cabinet and very easily accessible.
I have a story, or an anecdote. A little tidbit of
advice, or information for just about anything.
“Margaret” an elderly lady I met and earnestly
“visited ” with, is a locked filing cabinet. She has gobs
of stories, funnies, and memories. But she can’t get
to any of them. She has lost her key, and it can not
be re-made. She nods and smiles as her daughter-in-law
says to me, “She doesn’t remember you, or being here
last week. She can’t even remember yesterday.”
Stuff like this makes me even more aware of time.
There are many Bible verses on time, and our use of it.
One of my favorites is found in Psalm 90 vs 12:
So teach us to number our days so that we may
present to You a heart of wisdom.
