Culinary Class

IMG_7879

This evening one of my grown girls and I

went to to a cooking class at our local

culinary center. The girls gave me a gift

certificate “years” back, which I did not

use till tonight. It is a month away from

expiring! Yikes. We had a delightful time.

The food was delicious and the people so friendly.

The instructor was excellent. The class was called

Street Foods of India. We made, hands on, Aloo Chat,

and Mumbai Kabob Pav. The first dish was potato- the

second was made from ground chicken just like a burger.

We even toasted the buns. If that wasn’t enough, the instructor

made Onion Pakoras- pictured above, and Bengali Fish Fry.

The last thing she made was Mango Lassi. That tasted like a

milkshake. I could have drank that in the beginning and would

have gone home happy. It was so very good. The spices and unique

flavors in each dish were especially memorable. They even served

Chai tea in the middle of it! For sure this was an experience, I am glad

I did not let expire.
