So…
I told myself I would read all the book club books.
At least it’s not 1000 outside hours.
Or 100 books a year.
But…
I am not doing it.
I do get the book. I do start the book.
If it does not catch my interest, I don’t
want to read it. One of the ladies that
comes to my book club is very knowledgeable
about the books. Even, if she hasn’t read them.
She listens to a podcast about the book, or reads
a review of the book or the author.
So…
In a way, I blame her, for me not reading the books.
Not really, obviously, but she does bring some of the
most interesting discussion to the table at book club.
And, isn’t discussion, at least a good part of what
a book club is about?
So…
If I don’t finish the book, or like the book
I too, read about it on-line, or catch the author
chatting it up with an interviewer.
And…
That’s just one of my book clubs.
I’m not doing as bad in the other
book club. It’s with my 4 sisters,
and we do it on zoom. So far, I have
just skimmed one of the books. Pretty
much we all like the same genre.
So…
I read the books.
