Little Fears

IMG_7151

Today our two year old grandchild came to visit. She had a grasshopper to show us.

Her mom had put it in a jar with a spring lid. She wanted papa to see it, and me too.

Sometimes she is fiercely tough for a two year old. She even stomped on the way to the back woods.

When we were not yet to the woods she wanted to be held she did not want to be let down.

My daughter, her mom, said they had come upon a turkey in the woods on one of their recent

walks and it had scared her.

I afraid of turkeys is what she said while hugging her mom’s neck.

I mimed a turkey, she laughed but did not want down till she was out of

the woods and could clearly see Gigi’s house.

I am not afraid of turkeys. But don’t we all have stuff that we

would rather be held through and not be let down till we are

clearly out of danger of a possible turkey sighting.
